A GUIDE FROM BUILT BY DESIGN STUDIO
Launch SEO & ongoing SEO.
What each one does.
A website needs clear search foundations when it launches. Ongoing SEO uses evidence and continued work to improve how it reaches suitable customers.
Launch SEO establishes the foundation
Launch work gives the agreed pages a clear structure and the technical signals needed for search discovery. On a redesign, it also includes planning for important existing URLs. The exact deliverables belong in the build scope.
- Descriptive page titles, headings, and useful introductory copy.
- Canonical URLs, sitemap entries, and intended crawl/indexing settings.
- Relevant internal links and text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Appropriate structured data using accurate business information.
- A redirect plan for important URLs that change.
- Checks of key layouts, links, and inquiry paths.
Ongoing SEO responds to what happens next
After launch, search data and customer inquiries can show which topics are being discovered and which pages need more work. Ongoing SEO may involve technical fixes, better service explanations, original guides, case studies, internal linking, or Business Profile improvements.
The work should follow a prioritized plan. A thin service page may need clearer scope and proof before the business needs ten new articles. A page attracting unsuitable inquiries may need a more accurate offer rather than more traffic.
Time allowances are shared
Our monthly care plans combine website maintenance, updates, and SEO within the plan’s included time. If a month includes a substantial service-page rewrite, that task uses time from the same allowance as other updates.
We agree on priorities together, report completed work, and discuss work beyond the allowance before proceeding. Larger builds, integrations, and additional content projects can be scoped separately. See the current care plans for prices and included time.
Measure the right things
Search Console helps review indexing, queries, and landing-page visibility. Inquiry records help distinguish visitors from useful business opportunities. Phone clicks and form-button clicks are signs of intent, but they are not the same as completed conversations or received inquiries.
A meaningful review asks whether the right people are finding the right pages and whether the inquiries fit your services. Rankings, traffic, and sales depend on factors beyond a single edit, so they cannot be promised as fixed outcomes.
Choose a useful first cycle
Start with your business goals and an available baseline. Resolve critical technical problems, clarify the main service pages, and add relevant evidence. Then review what changed before deciding on the next content investment.
Local discovery and broader remote work can use different pages and channels. Keep the business’s real location accurate while explaining where and how you can deliver the service.
