Accessibility

Our approach

We want people with disabilities to be able to explore our services, review our work, and contact us. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our design and development target.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. This statement is not a claim of independent certification or complete conformance.

Using this website

The site includes a skip-to-content link, descriptive headings, text alternatives for meaningful images, visible keyboard focus, labeled form controls, and keyboard-operated navigation. Text can be enlarged with browser zoom, and layouts adapt to smaller screens. Reduced-motion preferences are respected.

The Services menu opens with Enter or Space and closes with Escape. On smaller screens, the Menu button opens the main navigation. File selection supports the standard file picker as well as drag and drop.

Known limitations

Portfolio screenshots contain visual details that are not all reproduced in their image descriptions; accompanying project text describes the work. Third-party client websites, embedded virtual tours, and verification services may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. We can discuss your project or provide information directly if one of these creates a barrier.

A full independent screen-reader and assistive-technology audit has not yet been completed. We continue to review the site and address identified issues.

Contact us for help

If you encounter a barrier, email info@builtbydesignworks.com or 717 622 1033. Please tell us which page or feature caused difficulty, what you were trying to do, and your preferred way for us to respond. Browser or assistive-technology details can help, but are not required.

We will review the issue and work with you to provide the information or assistance you need. You may request a quote or discuss a service by email or phone without using the website forms.
